What is Bottomless?
We are excited to partner with Bottomless to provide our customers with the "subscribe by usage" option for your Daily Ritual! Signing up with this option at checkout makes never running out of your favorite Laird Superfood products easier than ever.
How does it work?
When you place your order with the "subscribe by usage" option, you receive two separate shipments in the mail: one is the product that you ordered directly from us, and then in a separate box, you receive a small scale to use with your product.
Here are the steps to setting up your scale:
- Press the left "setup" button to broadcast the scale's WiFi network (you should see a green light on the scale).

Place the scale on a flat surface, with nothing on top.
*Optional: Place your empty container on the scale if storing the product in a separate container. -
On your device (phone, tablet, or computer), go to the WiFi settings and connect to the "Bottomless_Scale" network.
*If you are on iOS15, you may have to navigate to captive.apple.com after connecting to the Bottomless scale. - Follow the instructions on the pop-up that appears.
- Check your email (or phone) for the scale assignment link. Click the link to confirm the successful setup.
- Store your product on the scale.
Once the product you plan to use with the scale is synced, continue to place the product on the scale after using it, and the scale will detect, based on your frequency of usage, when you are in need of a reorder. It will alert you 3 days prior to reordering so you have ample time to make any necessary adjustments.
Editing Your Subscribe by Usage Subscription:
To change the subscription by usage option in your subscription, navigate to the Manage Your Subscription page in your Laird Superfood account. Any items part of the subscribe by usage option will listed next to the item name:
If you need to adjust the frequency in which you receive a reminder of a new order. Select the item from your subscription and navigate to Ordering Strategy:
Make sure to select save changes so that this is reflected in your future orders.
To remove the subscribe by usage function on this item, navigate to the Your Subscription view, and select the tab seen here:
You can adjust this to either Based on Usage, every 30 days, every 60 days, or every 90 days. If you select a regular interval it will disconnect your item from the subscribe by usage option. Make sure to select save changes so that this is reflected in your future orders.
